Cleaning up in 2013

Many of you may know already that this is the year i'll be cleaning up the Yahk yard. There are a bunch of junkers there this is true but there are quite a few that are good parts cars still and i don't want to see them end up in the machine when that time comes. As of April, I will be offering parts from these vehicles to the public one last time. If there is something there that you were already interested in, let me know. I know exactly what belongs to who out there and if it is Grampa's then I will get an answer from him for you. He doesn't need to be hassled about what is there, he's got enough problems so I am handling it. He has a few larger older trucks with dump boxes and a couple of the hydraulic hoists still work in case you are looking for a wet system and/or box. The Barko log loader is available, it has a V8 jimmy diesel that runs very well and a swivel clamp that works good but the machine has some problems of course. The old rear-steer Caterpillar 944 loader has needs an engine and brakes, otherwise was a working machine. The Ford rubber tire backhoe is in sad shape, he started putting it back together but never got finished. It could be re-assembled and was a working unit until the engine went bad (back in the machine now). He also has an Alberta-registered Ford Windstar that runs and drives but might have a bad front seal on the tranny, maybe... seems to work fine then gets hot and loses fluid. He also has an 80's Ranger 4x4, what is left of an 89 F150 and a 94 Windstar with a bad engine but recently rebuilt transmission (Paid Jody $2500 to rebuild and install).

I will be making a list of my stuff that is out there and available, i will post it in the classifieds. There are a number of bigger 70's Mopar cars, some Fords and a couple GM's plus a few trucks. You can call my cell number 250-402-9471 if you have any questions. The yard is CLOSED to the public until further notice, if you are planning on passing the word around to your car friends please make sure to tell them to wait until spring but they can still call me now to discuss things and set up appointments to meet me there. Grampa will be keeping an eye on the yard for looky loos but like i said, he doesnt need to be bothered with any extra stress. He might not look it but he needs some relax time.

Just thought i'd put the word out that i have started listing stuff in the classified section on this site. If you see anything there that catches your eye please let me know.

Well, luckily this got postponed one year but 2014 is really it. I've managed to find homes for some stuff but there is lots more worth saving... tick tock people.

About 1 week left and that's all folks! Maybe i'll type out a list on Monday for our reading displeasure... not looking forward to this.

Well it is done.... at least the big metal haul. I managed to save a few dozen oldies but not all of them. Anyhow, there are a few parts cars, quite a few V8 engines, some auto trannys, a couple diffs plus all the little parts I saved (like at the swap meet last weekend). Now to gather up all the wood and whatnot and somehow deal with the 3000 tires haha!
