Creston Swapmeet

Swap meet
Although the Vendor attendance was down due to Radium Car Show on the same weekend, people working, motivation and poor weather there still appeared to be a lot of foot traffic from about 9 till 12:30 or so . As usual it appears most of the public is in and gone by 1pm then it totally peters out after that. There was still people coming in but not a steady stream. I figure we lost between 10 to 15 vendor stalls due to the above mentioned(some vendors had 2 stalls in recent years).Luckily we had a few new vendors some taking 2 stalls which helped out quite a bit, most of them said they would be back next year. If we can get our weekend straighten out and not end up the same weekend as Radium and hopefully have the old venders and this year new vendors back this swap meet definitely has potential. I think we all felt it was slower than previous years. Will have to contact Creston Car Club and find out what they are doing next year as that is the weekend that we have matched. The events calendar has a deadline of the end of December in order to be listed. We were listed in 2 events calendars last year. I have made some new contacts which they have offered to post the swap meet advertisement in there town or community. As my job now takes me out of town a lot this is definitely a bonus. I think having both sides of the park was also a bonus this year as I did not have to worry about the parking ruckus as previous years.I am willing to listen to all input and ideas toward the swap meet so please speak up. I am posting some pictures of this years event.
Last but not least would like to Thank Brenna and Bob Cull, Carscene.ca, Duff, Ken and Rick for your help and support, could not of done it without you. Also Thanks to all vendors ,hopefully you will be back next year.

Appears Creston is having there car show the same weekend for 2014 as Radium again.I probably have no choice but to do the same.It boils down to that I will no longer be able to rely on Cranbrook and area for vendor or spectator support.A few will still show up but I think Radium will always be there first choice.
