Good Question for Buick Bob

I found a '72 GS350 Stage 1 that looks like an interesting rig for Dad to cruise around in, but I have a few concerns. I searched the net and have yet to find one with this same Stripes as this one. It appears to have buckets and a console, but column shifter. I also wouldn't have a clue to tell if it's a real deal GS and not a skylark with a spoiler. It seems like a decent deal, and it does have a bit of cancer worth fixing, but I'd like to get input from a buick guru on what he thinks. Maybe it's a real deal that's just rare, I don't know. Heres a few pics.

I would be concerned about the buckets, console, column shift combination. GS should also have cold air regardless of the 350 or 455, and stage I (code U75) was only on the 455.

Even if it is only a skylark, it still would be a decent cruiser for the $9900 they want for it, but I'd get em down a bit!

Except for the fact that there is a little cancer showing up in a few places, probably about six bubble throughout the car. And the way paint and body rates are now, it may an easy $2000 Bill. I phoned the owner yesterday and he claims it is a real GS. The stripe down the side says 'GS350 BBB Stage-1' and I have yet to find a car with that stripe. Maybe it's just something really rare, or someone really took the time to make a unique clone......

I had a rare Buick sorta like this once, all i did was ran the numbers through Buick and for a couple bucks they sent me an information package about my car which told me it was in fact a 350ci equipped '71 GSX. There are ways to find these things out, ask the guys on the Team Buick website and you'll know soon enough what to look for... price seems pretty high for similar cars that are available out there. (IMHO)

Did it have a cold air induction hood, or was it flat like this one? Did it have the same stripes? What info do I need for Team Buick?

No, a GSX has totally different stripes and it did have the fresh air hood. Just register on the Team Buick site, announce yourself in the new members area and mention the car you're looking at. They will answer your questions much better than i ever could, theres some hardcore very knowlegable Buick guys there.

Went and looked at it....And thats as close as I'd get to it....It is a very scary concoction of corroded crap. Try saying that five times fast!
