Stock 1969 383 magnum Blueprint Rebuild.

Here a fun little Engine, nothing radical and inexpensive, just a "resto" style 383 Magnum build using the Jobber Engine Kit, that's right, stock cast Pistons(cheapies), only things added were;
* ARP Rod Bolts
* Rocker Arms
* 274H Comp Hydraulic Cam
* Torker Intake & 750 Holley
* Stock Valves 2.08"& 1.74" in 906 Heads, Good Seat Angles & Bowl Port only.

Made 430hp and 444 ft/lbs Torque.
Who says a "resto" type MuscleCar shouldn't give a good account of itself at the stoplight ?

That's a nice little list with a defined result. Excellent info for the person wondering what combination might result in satisfying his objectives. I really don't expect most people want much more than that for a street motor. Do you have any examples for Buicks? Nailheads, 455s?

Just out of curiosity, what dyno do you have?

Hi Bob
We have a resto 430 Buick currently on the go, but I am not sure if that one will be hitting the Dyno due to a lack of funds ?
Normally, we don't do anything unless it gets Dyno'd(liabilites), but in this case it was just a "Machine Package", that Marty ended up helping the fellow assemble it.

We use a Superflow SF902 Dyno, at DynoPlus Services in High River. He is an INDEPENDANT Dyno Service, he doesn't build Engines, just Dyno's Engines, thats it..thats all..and he works for the Customer so that both the Customer and us, are sure at the end of the day that a good product is leaving.
We look after everything until the end of the Dyno Day.

We just found that it is the best Business Model for us to follow, due to the nature of the High Performance types of Engines we are involved with.
It can get pretty dicey at times, just "handing over" 800-1000hp N/A Engines to Customers that are unproven ?
And we only want Happy Customers with no finger pointing later ?
so,
everything goes off to the Dyno to get Beat for 8 hrs, in the Customers presence, to their satisfaction.
At the end of the Day..
There is the HP
There is the Torque
It don't leak Oil or Water
It is broken in & Tuned
Patent Product.
